Founded by long time friends nicholas disalvo jack donovan and matt couto the group spent years plodding in sabbathian territory releasing their self titled debut 2007 followed by dead roots stirring in 2011.

Why am i describing this album like its some kind of classic craft beer. Because it needs to be savored and respected for the piece of art it truly is. Lore reminds me of pelican a lot as well as motorpsycho. Lore is a dark and heady mix of psychedelic rock prog and doom metal flavored with a heaping of good old fashioned riff based us rock and a little bit of a lot of other musical flavors.

Lore is the third full length album by elder and a watershed moment in the band s history. Heavy riffs old school lead guitar solos mastodon style vocals lengthy pelican esque excursions classical acoustic interludes and introspective passages reminiscent of yes are all blended into a cohesive album. They also released a two song ep spires burn release in. Lore 10 00 20 00 the album is available as a cd as well as a deluxe 2lp version with a die cut customizable cover.

The lp has two black 180 gr vinyl and also includes a download code of the album.
