If i toggle the floor shadow in the scenes tab everything comes back but what if i want to keep the floor and just move it below my model.

The floor plane which looks like it is the top plane of the assembly model is clipping the model anything below it is gone.

Hi i just downloaded solidworks 2012 student edition from dds as my 2011 license has expired.
Normally when rendering we enable the floor shadows in solidworks using edit options in render tab.
Normally we need reflective surface floor for this.
Playing with the size and height does not move the floor.
Right click scene and select edit scene.

But in case you want to change the more settings then use edit scene change the light settings.

I have encountered a problem where the floor shadows as seen in the solidworks view window are not showing once i render the assembly.
While clicking around i stumbled on hidden tree items after a rmb on the part at the top of the feature tree.

Prior the 2012 version this could have been easily done by editing a scene and attach a chosen plane for the floor shadow.
Once converted and saved the files are not accessible in previous versions of solidworks.
